BAY AREA SKY-CAM
was founded in 1995 to provide
Low Altitude Aerial Photography for the Tampa Bay area and the state of Florida.

Our goal is to cover the heights too high for a stepladder and too low for an airplane
10 to 200 feet.
In addition to shooting with a helicopter or airplane, BAY AREA SKY-CAM uses a tethered helium-filled blimp to lift a remote control high resolution digital camera from 10 to 200 feet above the ground. Images are relayed to a ground control panel and real time video monitor worn by the photographer who is able to pan 360 degrees, tilt 90 degrees and control the shutter. This is all achieved while the photographer (and the client) previews each shot through the video monitor prior to shutter release.
While this system provide a truly unique aerial perspective unobtainable by conventional aerial photography, we found our clients still had a need for traditional airplane aerial and ground photography services.

Thus, we added airplane oblique aerial photography plus ground exterior and interior photography services to meet the needs of our clients.
